Merrion Farm Shepard’s Hut

A lovely weekend away at Merrion Farm in West Sussex. Very remote and a private location, isolated from anyone else. Which is perfect for some relaxing time. There's a cozy wood burning stove inside the hut and endless amount of firewood to chop up. Also having a fire pit outside which is perfect for cooking on or roasting marshmallows which is what we did!😋

It has a separate building with a kitchen with many cooking tools to utilise. As well as, a nice clean bathroom with a shower which is seconds away from the hut. Parking is less than a 5 minute walk, where wheelbarrows are provided to transport any belongings over to the Shepard's Hut. Making the little trip easier, instead of having to go back and forth to the car. Especially having to hold onto an exited dog! We were greeted by some sheep through the field to the hut! But luckily there's a gate to separate us and the sheep. Which was good for River being a high pray driven dog!
We spent a nice couple of nights away to unwind and enjoy our surroundings. The hut was very cozy and the surrounding area was very calm and quite. They also provided a doggy biscuit for River on arrival which was sweet. Dog friendly is definitely a must for us and this was an overall perfect stay! There was also a lovely little customer book to add any comments on your stay and it was enjoyable to read some of the messages left.
This Shepard's Hut is perfect for couples. However, there's opportunities to pitch tents for a more people. They also provide other pitching areas and a cottage with three bedrooms, which sleep six for bigger groups.
